My Response to "Christians Annoy Me at times."
From the Aug 6, 2005 post ...
I was directed to this post by Wei Shiung on Wednesday, June 29, 2005 by Joshua.
Well the title might seems harsh (well it eventually managed to generate more then 74 comments and several follow up post), it actually just a personal rant on one of his particular experience that he had (hey this IS HIS blog). As I came to know it was target to certain individual(s) but not the whole community. Please be rest assured, that being one of Joshua's good pal, I am sure he is a nice guy, but he like anyone else can angel to one and to somebody's else's pain the back, just like me.
After a series of sticks he gets from others from trying to defend their faith, to the rights to share and to condemnation of the unsaved, I decided to stop to "Say Hi".
I decide to share it know to give insight on how hypocritical we 'Christians' can some time be.

Wow, I have just finished reading 1 post and all the 55 comments!
Wei Shiung (i am guessing this from the responses), think this is gonna be a best seller!
First of all, let me intro myself, I came to know about this amazing post from Joshua (with good intentions).
I'm intrigued by this post, on the discussion that's been put forward, although it was meant to be a personal rant which did not mean to hurt anyone! And I am sure you don't mean to hurt anyone. You have your thoughts and others will have their perceptions and comments hehehe ...
Anyway things may settle down lioa and you may very well be exhausted by all this 'hype', but me being human will like a chance to be heard ... hehehe ...
So if I may, ...
I am just like I said a human being. And imperfect human being, so I will apologies for any thing that might offend the rest but having said that does not mean I can say anything and not careful in what I am gonna say.
I know this may not be the time for you to hear this again, but I was once like you ...
(wah liao ... another Christian convert story ... wa lioa ... but bear with me bro if you choose to)
Before I accepted Christ I always perplex about why Christians, or for that matter even Muslims (I have a lot of close Muslim friends) are so eager to share to you about their belief and to some extend can be too pushy or down right annoying. Man, I mean ... hey, I got a brain also and I can figure things out myself, so why do you need to 'brainwash' me!
That was before I came to know Christ personally and appreciate that some one actually cared enough to share to me, although it's not the person effort that but me to Christ but God Himself can and seek and found me.
But this does not justify us ask Christian to go around and force Christianity down some one's throat.
In fact we are do this with gentleness and respect, the bible says, "Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect ...".
Sometimes we are too eager to share the wonderful news, we forgot about the second part. And sometimes we may just think we are better off then others and the rest are inferior, that others are hopeless; sometimes we carry the attitude of being superior because we know Christ and others don't. But God never asked us to be boastful, but to humble ourselves instead. (do read my post "Do not be boastful that you have been saved").
I know you have nothing against Christianity, or any other religion, but just some individual that may have been too eager. I share your thoughts; though I can't fully defend myself, because we are constantly tempted, and we need to be alert, but more often than not, we tend to loose our self-control, when we depend too much on our own strength and wisdom.
But one thing, if I may add is that Heaven is a gift. A free gift that none of us deserve and yet is it being offered to each one of us by the God that love us some much. You may at this point ask, so what la? So what is so good about "Christianity" and why is it so special. You know what? If you really really desire to know it, you can ask God Himself. Just ask. Really.
And Z ... you asked a good question:
"if you are good and nice and help for charity all the time yet are not religios/belong to no religion do you go to hell?"
I will be delighted to answer your question if you still curious :) just drop me a note at my blog, in fact I am sure Joshua will be happy to share it with you. : )
Take care people. And yea, it's not wrong to voice yourself up, just be ready to hear others out! A note to myself too so any comments are welcomed.
